Patches are ok here when you want others to test them or look at them,
but patches meant to actually be applied should at least be cc'd to
gnucash-patches. Alternatively you can file a bug report and supply
your patch. Either way works, IMHO.

You need to add a configure test and #ifdef the code based on whether
you find 2.0 or 2.2.

This patch only replaced 2.0 with 2.2, which is not sufficient.
You'll need to use some #ifdefs based on a proper test in
configure.in.
