This patch only replaced 2.0 with 2.2, which is not sufficient. You'll need to use some #ifdefs based on a proper test in configure.in.

I will give this a go, I dont think it will be too hard. If someone wants to test it on 2.0 once I think it is working let me know and I will send you the patch.
