I'm a bit ambivalent myself for exactly the same reasons. If people don't like having all the questions in the TOC, I can certainly go to the ordered list without too much hassle. I do like the list of questions, though. How about using an ordered list with a hyperlinked list of questions at the beginning of the FAQ? > The alternative, of course, is to change to an ordered list.
