I dont think anyone is planning this for the normal ledger code. You
can take a look at the Scheduled Transaction window where you do get
some calendar views of when scheduled transactions are going to occur.

Take a look at what the scheduled transaction code is doing. If you
need help integrating into the existing code feel free to pop into
#gnucash and ask. This shouldn't be part of the existing register --
it should be a new view.
