Oh, right, you will need to set it in preference by putting a check mark to
get that behavior. It can be found at:

Edit -> Preferences -> Register Defaults -> Other Defaults -> Register opens
in a new window

That may have been added in a later GC version, but for me when I
double-click on an account in the Accounts page that account's register
opens in a new tab in the same window as the Accounts page. I don't find any
selection for that behavior in Preferences.

Yes, I'm running GC in Windows 10.
