Revert to 5.1 and your splits will be auto completed :-) I found it was more work in 5.3 to have to manually re-enter the numerous splits I have in txns than take advantage of the latest auto complete features.
As Adrien mentioned, I understand 5.3 remembers newly entered splits after the upgrade to 5.3 Regards David H.
