Welcome to GnuCash. I use an old version of QuickBooks for Business Cash Accounting, and I also use GnuCash. Transaction data is not available from QuickBooks in iif format. The best you can do is print reports containing transaction data but it's not worth the effort. Again, welcome to GnuCash where *your* data is accessible.
I support the comments for a hard cutover between the two systems, importing the past year's transactions from your bank accounts for history, and import or enter any investments. BTW, Do you use classes or cash accounting business? GnuCash is very different.
