I talked about this in KGS Computer Go room with gunnar (Gunnar Farnebäck): I plan to enter GNU Go 2.0 and Liberty 1.0 to Fifth KGS Computer Go Tournament - Open division: http://kgs.kiseido.com/en_US/tournInfo.jsp?id=112 as GnuGo2 and LibertyBot.
These are mostly unmodified, except I have added simple gtp support and fixed some bugs or used workaround. For scoring, cleanup and bug fixing I'm using GNU Go 3.6. Bug fixing: premature pass or illegal move: Check if GNU Go 3.6 would also have passed. If not, then play GNU Go 3.6 move. This is needed for GnuGo2 because it sometimes leaves holes in the border. If gtp gives as move '??' because move is out of bounds, then also use GNU Go 3.6 to generate move. This is needed for LiberyBot, because it sometimes generates move that is outside board. These in no way will replace latest GNU Go of course in Open division: I except somebody will enter strong GNU GO there also. These are just to give some fixed point that weaker programs can measure against and these bots also have solid rating at KGS. Is it OK for you for me to enter these programs to tournament as I have described above? -- Aloril <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ gnugo-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gnugo-devel
