Hello GNUnet, A few years ago (time flies!) the idea to use ERIS for GNUnet filesharing was discussed and well received [1,2]. In particular as it would allow proper integration with GNS. Is this still the case? Are patches towards using ERIS + GNS as a replacement for the current GNUnet filesharing welcome? Are there any other considerations that need to be made before? Would it make sense to document this idea in the roadmap or elsewhere?
Patches would be very welcome, but before someone starts on this I would like to have a Mumble to discuss the design details with them. In fact, we probably should write a somewhat more proper plan/specification first, but as Martin said: we're currently swamped, so I can at most commit to giving initial high-level input into a spec/plan and then helping review it, but I wouldn't even commit to writing the spec this year.
Happy hacking! Christian
