I've previously reported in the forum this. With either the auto-detect
grub option or forcing 64 bit kernel boot, both VMware Guest (64-bit mode)
as well as real hardware (a quad opteron) either automatically resets the
machine (reboot) or halt after starting to load the kernel. This is
confirmed for Nexenta as failed, and further confirmed to be working on
OpenSolaris, Schillix, etc.
