I fully agree that this change looks like the correct solution.
Riccardo, can you confirm that this fixes the problem for you?
I will test as soon as possible on most machines I have.
I wonder if this is due to a runtime problem? SOmebody wrote about "old
runtimes". I did not consider 4.2 that old. Also, when using gcc 2.95 I
use "our" libobjc which should be at least compatible with ourselves.
