Riccardo, can you confirm that this fixes the problem for you?
On the infamous OpenBSD/sparc computer I get now.

I will finish testing all other platforms I have ready today and report.
To anybody who wants to test: you need to recompile both core AND your
application. Without recompiling the application the problem persits.
