Dear sirs, Dalgado Konknnni Akademi is announcing the calling of applications for Annual Dalgado and other Awards. Kindly give publicity to the news. Thanking you in advance. *William Fernandes* Secretary Dalgado Konknni Akademi ---- Press Release *DKA invite applications for Annual Dalgado and other Awards * The prestigious yearly Awards – *Dalgado Puroskar 2022* will be conferred at a ceremonial function on 8 individuals who have excelled in Literary and Cultural fields, and who have helped in preserving and promoting Konkani literature in Roman Script and preservation of Culture and heritage of Goa. The awards are in the following categories: 1) *Dalgado Sahityik Puroskar, 2) Dalgado Sonskrutik Puroskar and 3) Dalgado Romi Konknni Seva Puroskar. *These awards consists of Rs. 35,000/- each and nominees for these three categories should be sixty years and above. 4) *Fr. Freddy J.Da Costa Borovpi Puroskar. *This award consists of Rs. 25,000/- and the nominee should be between the age of 35 to 50 years and should have worked for Romi Konkani at least for 10 years. 5) *Prabhakar Tendulkar Konknni Sonstha Puroskar. *The award consists of Rs. 25,000/- and the nominee institution should have worked for Romi Konkani at least for 10 years. *6) Joel D’Souza Daiz Puroskar. *The award consists of Rs. 25,000/- and the nominee should be sixty years and above and have worked for the preservation of Goan heritage. 7) *Dalgado Tornatto Puroskar. *The awards consists of Rs. 15,000/-The nominee should be between the age of 25 and 35 years and have published at least one book. 8) *Berta Menezes Ostori Puroskar *(Exclusively for women). The award consists of Rs. 10,000/- and the nominee should have worked in different fields of Romi Konkani. All the awards carry a shawl, buquet of flowers,memento and citation besides the cash award.
