Jeanne, one of the books missing from that list is the novel "Tivolem",
which Milkweed published as a hardback in 1998; it deals with life in a
small fictitious village in Goa. *Booklist *said it was one of the twenty
best first novels of the several hundred that were published in the United
States that year. A headline in the Library Journal proclaimed, "Tivolem
rises to the top." If Benedetto somehow missed it, copies are still
available.

Regards to all,
Victor
