I went through Augusto Pinto. I appreciate very much his work of translation. Chandrakant Keni and Ravindra Kelekar I transliterate, not translate, into Kannada script from Nagari in order to acquaint people in Karnataka with Konkani in Nagari script. That was in 1973. Then invited Ullas Buyao to South Kanara in 1976 and he presented his composition, among others, mongllurachea xarant ek chddum dekila, kazar mhojelagim zatam mhonnon tannem sangilam. This was not Bamonn Konkanni. This was popular, common, Goa Konkanni. Then had the 100th birthday of Shennoi Goybab in Mangalore in 1937 financed by Number 30 Beedies, Mr. B. Manjunath Pai. This transliteration between Konkanni scripts unites and brings about what I call, not standard, but common or soroll speech, bhas. W R da Silva
