New universities and higher-education institutions being planned or set up in *Goa* (beyond the existing *Goa University*, *Indian Institute of Technology Goa*, and *National Institute of Technology Goa*): 1. *Parul University Goa* – a new private university campus established in state. 2. *WPU Goa* – a proposed fully residential transdisciplinary university (awaiting government clearance). 3. *Cluster universities* – plans for university clusters in North and South Goa under NEP, transforming affiliated colleges into autonomous multidisciplinary universities. 4. Several *other private university proposals* have received in-principle government approval (land/permissions pending) such as expansions by institutions like Skill Development University groups, *Sunaparanta University*, and others noted in government replies on private universities (proposals from Parul, Skill Development University of Jaipur, Entrepreneurship Global Foundation, MIT Group/World Peace University), though final establishment is pending.
