Correction, as an ex flight attendant, I have travelled to Colombo and I wouldn't say that their airport is better than our best! I am glad that your family and you enjoyed your flight there, I hope you wrote in to thank Air Lanka, the staff and crew would love to receive an appreciation letter. I wouldn't call it a direct flight though, since I am sure that you got off or changed aircraft in Colombo. Cannot comment on ic or ai as I haven't flown them yet. I can say though that some of the passengers take the free flow of booze a bit too far (this is not a personal comment)
