This environmentalist edits the Creepy Times and illustrates his fearless disposition towards some pretty deadly creatures as though they were his pets. The murder of Fr Eusebio Ferrao at his official residence in Macazana has been reported and commented on in considerable detail. Two men have now been charged with the murder to which they seem to have confessed but the motive for the crime is very much a mystery. A fascinating account titled Memories of Another Panjim: The Old Town had a Charm by Isabel da Santa Rita Vaz is well worth reading. Apart from the article itself, there are favourable responses to the article. The Lusitanian Impact by Antonio Menezes provides many historical insights during the Portuguese presence of 451 years in Goa. Readers are provided many details of unusual historical practices and events over the period. A film on London's Bengali Diaspora is discussed in some detail on Goanet. The film aims to make other communities more aware of the Bengali cultural heritage and the history of the Bengali contribution on national and international platforms. Is there really an athletics drought in India as claimed by V.M. de Malar on Goanet? Find out why this writer appears to be so despondent about the prospects of Indian sportspersons in international events like the current Commonwealth Games. Finally, for a truly adventurous story, read about the journey by road from the UK to India by Mike Fernandes and his friend Vince Vela. The journey took 37 days and there are fascinating details of the many exciting encounters on the road. A travel book by Mike is likely to be produced soon.
