THE CASTE CONSIDERATION: The caste system has set in the electoral system
of Goa. It is not the character and the performance of the candidate that
decides the electoral outcome. On the contrary, it is the case
consideration that has turned out to be the vital winnability index. The
intricacies of caste and religious politics in Goa are so acute that had Pt

being Brahmin and in South Goa for being Hindu. (Ravindra Kelekar in NT)
