Youth seeking jobs in KRC will get necessary certificates: CM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Goa Hit-Rakhan Manch on Tuesday got a assurance
from the chief minister that necessary instructions would be
issued to the mamlatdar so that the job-seekers from families
which lost land for the Konkan Railway project, would be issued
the necessary certificates without any hassles.

While inviting applications from job-seekers who have lost their family land
for the national project, the Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) had made it
mandatory to get a certificate in this regard from the land acquisition officer
and mamlatdar. However, when the unemployed youth approached the
mamlatdars, they declined to issue such a certificate as there was
no instructions from the government.

As the deadline for sending the applications is February 15, a delegation
of GHM called on the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar seeking his
intervention so that local deserving youth are not deprived from getting jobs.

A press note issued here by GHM said that "Parrikar has now responded
positively and instructed the Revenue Secretary to issue a circular immediately
that the mamlatdar should issue the certificates to the applicants within 48 hours."

While thanking the chief minister for his immediate intervention into the matter,
the GHM has also warned that no bureaucratic delay in this regard would
be tolerated.

In case any applicant faces difficulty in obtaining the certificate, spokesman
of GHM, Prashant Naik may be contacted (2734689), the press note added.
