GOENKARACHO EKVOT, DELHI CELEBRATES ITS SECOND ANNIVERSARY Members of the Goenkarancho Ekvot, Delhi together with their families and friends got together to celebrate the association's second anniversary on Sunday, 8th February 2003 at Lodi Gardens. These gardens, with a sprinkling of Lodi tombs, well manicured lawns, walking tracks and many winter morning revelers, are the ideal spot for a picnic. After a harsh winter we were really happy to be basking in the sunshine, gossiping and cracking PJs in the true Goan style. There were games for children and adults and of course a couple of rounds of the ever popular Tambola. Everyone gorged on the appetising lunch that was served hot for a change and then as can be expected rolled on the dhurries or benches whatever was available for a quick snooze. The celebration cake was cut by Mrs. Suman Kurade who tirelessly campaigned for more Goans to unite and push for the Goan cause in Delhi as well as back home. FATIMA PAIS
