Sancoale locals should inform me on development works: Matanhy

The Cortalim MLA, Matanhy Saldanha has urged the residents of Sancoale
to report to his office, in writing, before February 24 of any development
activities to be undertaken in their locality.
This request was made in a letter to the Sancoale parish priest to be
announced
in the Church. "If development has to benefit the people, then the people
themselves
must participate in decision-making," Matanhy said in his letter.
Announcing in the church, the parish priest Fr Antonio Fernandes urged the
parishioners to bring to their MLA's notice of any harassment meted out to
them
by panchayat and other authorities. He urged the parishioners to submit the
letters
to their respective panchayat ward members to forward it to the MLA.
Electrification of new roads, irrigation, wells, new roads, parks, gardens,
lakes to be distilled, parking place, gutters were some of the items listed
in his letter.
