**************************************** For more information/links, see http://goanet.netfirms.com **************************************** CREATIVE NON-FICTION WRITING CLINIC This clinic is directed at people who have always had the urge to write, and may even in fact have significant quantities of unfinished work or meticulously maintained diaries , but have never been able to complete even one literary journey. Its main purpose will be to help them bring to completion a work of creative non-fiction. ( Creative non-fiction as used here covers everything from travelogue and memoir to fiction which has reality as its starting point.) The clinic will be conducted by Vikram Sundarji whose work of creative non-fiction for Penguin, 'Little Kingdoms' was the only travelogue (apart from Pico Iyer's ' Tropical Classical' ) to be placed on the publishers 50th Special Anniversary of Independence Shortlist. In addition to featuring in several leading journalistic publications, Mr Sundarji's creative non-fiction writing has also appeared in the 35th Special Anniversary issue of London Magazine the British literary magazine (which has featured Keats , Wordsworth , W.H Auden, Sylvia Plath and R. K. Narayan amongst others). Schedule and Methodology: Mr Sundarji's method is to work one-on-one with selected participants for one - two hours every week. Prior submission of excerpts from incomplete writing is necessary. All selected participants then meet together on Fridays around a bonfire to read and discuss work together. Costs: Rs 1000/ for four one hour sessions. The first joint session will commence Friday 21st Feb 2003 for people who have already enrolled.
