Dear Jorge, Thank you for listing the Vitamin A content of chirputtam/Physalis peruviana. At 3000 I.U. (i.e.International Units) of Vitamin A(Carotin),chirputtam may help children avoid blindness without being forced to eat carrots.Besides,cooked carrots lose their Vit. A due to heat. The chirputtam are a much better way of being healthy.!
People do not care for chiputtam in Goa.May be the export potential will make them think. I had not thought of that myself.
