Dear cybergaokars on GoaNet,
Friday Balcao the fortnightly discussion event to be held on 13th February will feature a discussion on a video on Portuguese India.
At this Friday Balcao there will be a screening of a 70 min. video "Souls and Spices" made by video makers Desmond Nazareth and Christopher Rego.
The video is strictly a "teaser" for a 6 part in depth video documentary series on "Estado da India", of which Goa was the capital and attempts to give an overview of the history of Portuguese India .
Desmond Nazareth will be present at the screening and is keen to have feedback on the video.
Those citizens wanting to contribute to the discussion at Friday Balcao are urged to attend the event.
Friday Balcao will be from 4pm to 6pm at the Goa Desc Resource Centre No.11 Liberty Apartments Feira Alta, Mapusa and is open to members of the public.
Those citizens who would like to receive the regular invitation to Friday Balcao for 2004 and a one page synopsis of the fortnightly session can subscribe for the same by sending Rs.80/- to cover printing and mailing costs.
