While granting the learned doctor the priviledge to dismissively treat "Goan standards" as something of a lower order, may I point out that the work of a journalist must not be confused with that of a historian. > Do I presume that (like me), readers of this cyber net do not have the > book THE TERRIBLE TRIBUNAL FOR THE EAST by A.K. But I see little point in debating with someone so keen on denying history... or seeking justifications for its unpleasant chapters. As someone has already pointed out, the Inquisition is a historically-accepted reality. To seek to deny it, or build alibis for it, is to take on a similar attitude to those who deny the Holocaust ever happened.
