Fransa Pax stuns Sporting club de Goa, Churchill blanks Raia

Fransa Pax SC shocked Sporting club de Goa by a solitary goal in the
Hutch Goa Professional Football League Championship being played at
Mapusa today.
The all-important goal for Fransa came in the 58th minute through Peter
Rodrigues which ultimately turned out to be the match winner. Fransa's
Shanta Singh was adjudged the man of the match.
Coca-Cola Churchill Brothers ousted Raia Sporting Club by 2-0 in the
second match at Fatorda. After a barren first half, Churchill surged
ahead in the 53rd minute through Freddy Mascarehas, whose long ranger
shot found the net. In the next minute, Churchill Drupesh Desai made it
2-0 off a fine cross pass received from Jotin Singh.
With the win, Churchill Brothers jumped to the third spot with 17
points, below table toppers Dempo (25 points), followed by Vasco Sports
Club (18).
