Thanks. So now it looks as though the normal five year residence
requirement, in most countries, has been reduced in Canada and also in
Australia. I welcome this info. However, I have come across a lot of
resentment from professional South Asian immigrants making it to Canada.
This appears to be because of a harder line on recognition of SE Asian
acquired qualifications, in most fields, by the Canadian authorities.
I should find it helpful to have some light thrown on this specific theme
Mervyn as the same kind of criticism seems relatively muted in the UK
assuming there are adequate numbers of jobs.
