A few well meaning citizens have been sending
congratulatory messages in private to the protogonist
demanding official recognition to Konkani in Roman
script.
Their assessment of the script controversy is that the
recognition will come through but it is not clear when
viz pre-poll or post-poll;
One Hindu Saraswat reader of "Sunaparant" Konkani
Daily who considers Mr Uday L Bhembre as the
Machaevilian manipulator and Mr Subhash Velingkar a
rabid communalist has given this data to this writer.
According to him the fact that the only Konkani
devanagari script daily "Sunaparant" owned by Mr
Dattaraj Salgaocar mine owner and industrialist son of
late Vassudev M Salgaocar of Vasco-da-Gama has been
permitting the vitrolic writings and tirade against
the Catholic community at large clearly is an
indication of the growing frustration among the
Konkani devanagari only votaries, that sooner or later
recognition will be accorded to Konkani in Roman
script.
Since the script movement began in July 2005 these
writings captioned as under were featured on
Sunaparant the only Konkani Devanagari daily:

In conclusion the contributor advises the pro Romi
script votaries not to be bothered about these
writings but understand how vital it is for most of
the Hindu Saraswat Brahmins to retain their monopoly
over Konkani ONLY in Devanagari script.
