In the meeting of the Party's Executive Wing just concluded in a busy city hotel near Cafe Prakash today, following was unanimously agreed upon: There would be just 5 Cabinet Ministers (currently Jumbo size about 13) Of which one would be a female. List of 40 candidates and 5 would be ministers finalized today. Who are the WB ministers? (WB=would be) Mr. Ferdinand Nunes, alias FN, to be the first speaker of the new elected party. He will decide what to debate in the house and check what is off topic or on topic and accept or reject accordingly. He will also hold other minor porfolios as his post is of a cabinet rank. Mr. M. Botelho, Alias Miguel, to be a cabinet minister. Who will hold charge of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Tourism, Forest, Environment, Archaeology, Panchayat etc Mr. Ciriaco Pinheiro, alias CP, will have IT, Art and Culture, Excise (boozers can well expect drastic reduction in IMFL (Indian made foreign Liquor), Finance, Revenue E Carvalho, alias Elizabeth, A lady Ministers, will take charge of Law, Electricity, water resources, woman and child development etc. So, who is going to be the WB CM ? When this came up for discussion, strangely, no one came forward for the CM post. However, every one pointed out just one person and who is he ? He is none other than JGU. The People's choice. Joao GUstav Ferrao, alias JGU (pronounce J-gu) (One peculiarity of this party..there is no fight for CM post or chair.) At first, JGU flatly refused but seeing that the trust they all put in him, he then decided to go for it but on certain terms and conditions. Did they have any choice ? So, the WB CM takes the cake as well as cream on it. How can you manage ? WBCM: After approval, we will get most of the work done by our Chief secretaries and other IAS officers, all govt. servants will be on their toes, eventually, all files will come to us for our assent. Press:We see that you are keeping top depts with you, as a head of the depts, briefly tell us your priorities WBCM: As Home Ministers I will see that all gambling activities like matka etc wiped off permanently etc Police dept to be reshuffled. As PWD, immediate start of New bridge over Zuari river, plus 4 bridges across Mandovi river. One at Ribandar-Chorao, second at Panjim- Betim foot brige and third at Campal opp. Inox to Reis Magos/Verem all these bridges to be completed within 6 month and one, the fourth one at Divar-oldGoa within one year. As TCP, demolish all illegal structures and this would be a lesson to all. As health, Margao New hospital within 18 months, and all other hospitals including GMC to work under complete new management to bring about changes from grass root level. Education: Education to all. I will come out with a new dole scheme where SSC passed will get Rs. 700 per month (SSC failed also to get Rs.500 per month provided they are not failed in more than 2 subjects). At least their parents would send them to school for the sake of money. To attain 100% literacy by 2012. Social Welfare: My first priority would be to bring down to half the present over 83,000 claimants under DSS scheme as about half of them are bogus and the money thus saved will be utilised as doles to unemployed etc. Plus the money saved on 7/8 ministers by reducing the current 13 to just 5.
