First of all I, Roland, had no views on that matter. I was merely
recounting a conversation between me and the boy's father and asking
for opinions.
Secondly, to dismiss it as "episodic evidence" would be the opposite
of what you intended to convey. Episodic evidence would have meant
that it was proved by an episode that the IIT students were
intellectually superior to the Harvard and Yale students. Actually
"hearsay" would have been more accurate and therefore you should have
termed it as it as lexical evidence (through words) rather than
episodic.
In this regard you are as bad as our Carmo ; )) who actually took my
question and turned it into evidence in support of his own theory, as
Cornel so rightly pointed out.
