Folks,

The investigator in the BBC report was Allan Urry. He telephoned me
yesterday and I discussed some of my reactions to the radio programme with
him. He also indicated that he is planning a return visit to Goa to report
on developments.

There is much I could write about the reactions of Fred and Reena. I am
also amazed at Reena's facetious remarks about elephants in Goa. However, I
am convinced that neither has listened to the radio report so could they
please do so and let us know if they wish to change their views after doing
so?

I had indicated the link to the audio report last week before the broadcast
and again after the programme. It is now repeated.

To listen to the audio report go to

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/documentary_archive/6232043.stm

On the right side of the page you will find the options:

Please do so by Thursday 11 Jan.

Thank you,

Eddie Fernandes

PS: I am also in daily communication with the parents of Stephen Bennett
who was murdered last month in very mysterious circumstances. They are
planning to visit Goa next week. The Goa newspapers have been strangely
silent on the issue. For details of that tragedy see

Yeah, Reena (who works for The Telegraph, Kolkata) understands the
news-making process. My gut level feeling was the same. The problem
with the *big* outstation media is that they decide news priorities
sitting in London, New Delhi, whatever.... Of course, I've written for
some of these too, so I'm not just pointing fingers here.
