Selma Carvalho has been invited to present her book 'A Railway Runs Through: Goans of East Africa, 1865 - 1980' at the Goa Arts and Literary Festival (GALF). This engaging presentation will take place on Sunday, 7 December, 2014 at 12 noon at The International Centre, Dona Paula, Goa. The book will be released by Dr Alan M. Rodrigues, Principal Vidya Vikas Academy and grandson of the legendary Dr A. C. L de Souza of Nairobi. This will be followed by a debate on the role played by Goans in East Africa with a critical examination of their partnership with the British Empire and race-relations with Africans.
