This idea is similar to the one I had about burning plastic. It's a very good idea. However I remain skeptical about its effectiveness and the reason I say this is because the dailies in Goa are very vocal in highlighting this issue but it has not made a dent in resolving it. The problems here are manifold but two of the main problems are, the roads which are but narrow arteries do not accommodate a safe flow of traffic and two there is no spine to police traffic infractions to the extent they must be, inorder to achieve compliance. To address this problem effectively would mean an increase in traffic police and an upgrade of road infrastructure which will include the necessary junctions, traffic lights, islands, tunnels, etc, it takes for safe motoring.
