Noida-based Gratian Vas had this talent spotted early. After he won creative writing competitions in his early teens, he began his writing career with a regular column for The Teenager, which led to his first book published in his early twenties. That book is still in print. He worked as a teacher, a warden, a headmaster, a principal and a resource person to educational institutions before moving to writing full time for children.
