Cornel I agree with you totally. I said "supposedly" with tongue in cheek.
However, how would you identify/address in any critique, the guys who claim to
be Catholic Brahmins especially when attempting to demolish their humbug? If
you see my last but one post to Gilbert Lawrence, I described these guys as
rotten Catholics and also as parasites.
( Then why did Edward have to abdicate? was Simpson a Catholic?
Cornel: I have no idea if the woman (Simpson) was Catholic but she was
definitely twice divorced before she met Edward. I suspect that this was the
problem at the time.
Cornel: Just one final point.Please please please do not equate caste
with class. The concepts are totally different.
Ans: Why not? Concepts are NOT different.
Cornel: If concepts were not different from each other in many ways, we would
have no debate/discussion on most things. You rely on common sense. I don't. I
rely on an established body of knowledge! Common sense says the earth is flat
and that the sun goes round the earth. However, we know better!
A commoner cannot sit with a
Royalty in Church, this, I classify as caste system.
Cornel: He can. Isn't Edward the last son of Elizabeth married to a commoner?
And wasn't Margaret, the Queens sister married to a commoner. Of course, he got
promoted later to Lord etc.
The English with their high English command decreed it as class and
not caste; for if they called it caste, they would be equating it with
the lowly Indian way of life (they were the rulers remember?)

Cornel:If you did, the casteists would love you for it because they
badly need to pretend that the evil system of caste, they have
internalised, is just like the more open system of class that has
emerged with the development of industrialisation. Please don't let
them fool you on this one whatever you do!
Ans: I repeat, get rid of God and we will not need the Brahmins doing
the rites, they can stick to doing the barbers (dentists) and the
butchers (surgery) jobs.

On another point, I am a republican at heart and cringe when I see so much
adulation to British Royalty. Such adulation is derived from a serf mentality
in my view that the Brits can't get out of their systems. There is a hard core
of republicanism in the UK but Royalty (with their hard-core supporters) have
been very clever at regaining support despite things going bad from time to
time
