Albert, non-whites too have been raised to the sainthood. St Gonsalo Garcia the
first Indian saint was from Bassein (present day Vasai). St Bakhita was an
african. 4-5 Indians like Fr Joseph Vaz, Pad Agnel, Blessed Alphonsus are on
the track to sainthood.You do have a point that overwhelmingly most saints came
from the ranks of the clergy and from the west.
As for your chances, well you do stand a fair chance if you are able to serve
humanity with devotion and sacrifice without expectations from anyone.eg:
