Hi Gilbert, You are most likely wrong about Spinoza because of the wrong assumptions you make in the following quote of yours: "He did not undertake one scientific experiment to back up his theoretical models and "ethical philosophy" about the working of the mind that some Goans are now so engrossed about. Are we Goans going ga-ga because Spinoza was an European (white skin)?" The assumption that because he did not do experiments, his theoretical ideas are not relevant, is wrong. Einstein did not do any experiment, as well. Spinoza's ideas are very useful from a historical and practical standpoint today to Goans like me who study the workings of the mind. In fact, the eminent neuroscientist Antonio Damasio has written an entire book entitled "Looking for Spinoza" to explain how Spinoza's ideas are relevant to modern brain sciences. The assumption behind your pointless reference to his white skin is also wrong. > > As far as your web link and abstract from the link, > I still call not find the link of what is written by > or about Spinoza to Goa or Goans which you purport > are connected. Can you please enlighten us > Goanetters with some more specific facts? > The connection to Goans was specifically in reference to your above question regarding Goans who study the workings of the mind, and other Goans like Selma who are interested in such ideas because of a genuine thirst for knowledge. Cheers, Santosh
