Indeed, true. I don't know what the hell Kelekar is talking about. I lived 6 months in Bangalore last year. The city is an utter mess. Squalid, un-walkable pavements. Noxious fumes on the road. Cacophony of sounds from the unimaginably chaotic traffic. Encroachers and squatters everywhere. Truly a model toilet city, like every other Indian city. In fact, we in Goa must draw a warning from Bangalore. 20 years ago, it was said to be a wonderful place to be in. Quiet, salubrious, with a very good quality of life. Then the IT coolies discovered it, the North Indians began streaming in. Today Bangalore is a hellhole. It is everything that Panjim should not be. Kelekar may be trudging back and forth from home and his workplace in a private comfortable wormhole, but the rest of us still have to wade through the Augean stable that is Bangalore. Warm regards, r
