German girl Rape Case: BJP MLA’s Son involved too?? The Education Minister, Mr Atanasio Monserrate, whose son Mr Rohit Monserrate has been accused of sexually abusing the German girl, in a press note released on Sunday said that his son would cooperate with the police now that the girl has deposed before the court and had her medical test done.
He said that his son is an adult and �should be responsible for his actions and must face the consequences of breaking the law, if he has done so�. On Saturday, Mr Rohit Monserrate and Mr Joshua De Souza, the son of the Mapusa BJP MLA, Mr Francis De Souza, deposed before the police and gave their statements. The Education Minister, however, warned that he would resist attempts to �selectively target only my family members for extraneous and political purposes� and stated that the police have already recorded statements of his son, his wife, Ms Jennifer Monserrate, the PWD Minister, Mr Churchill Alemao�s nephew, Mr Warren Alemao and Mr Joshua De Souza.
