I am glad Santosh has raised this important point. My article published in the *Semana de cultura* by V.M. has as its title UNWRAPPING GOAN IDENTITY.
However, it appeared on Goanet Reader posted by FN with a subtitle! I have yet to check if any other changes were introduced. I feel that no editorial changes should be made without previous permission of the author. It is not ethical. It is also claimed that it was published in the Times of India. However, the weblink provided at the end of the post is to a discussion group called "www.faithfreedom.org" If one locates the article by Julio Ribeiro in the discussion threads there, one finds that the real title of the article is "The Sad End Of Hemant Karkare". Please see: http://www.faithfreedom.org/forum/viewtopic php?p=1167697&sid=a2ac998cc9a6a2badbdeaf0932c34fa5 In addition, if you compare the text provided on Goanet with that at the above link, you find that some extraneous paragraphs have been inserted, and some words have been replaced by other words. One wonders if Mr. Julio Ribeiro is aware of these changes to the title and text of his article. Cheers, Santosh
