Dear Roland, Allow me to stipulate two points: (a) UK based Eddie Fernandes has been doing a superb job for about a decade at least. (b) There are NO high achieving Goans here (as far as I know)
Now: Are you saying that Canadian Goans have decided to rely ONLY on Eddie Fernandes to do the needful (good) for them, while they individually are quite happy to publicly wash dirty linen with (sour) grape juice? Is it not the case that acknowledgment/recognition of the good Goans do, is best done in Canada and in the Canadian media? How many Canadians read the Goan Voice UK (or Goan Voice Canada)? How many (in your estimation) of the Young Goans, have read the Goan Voice's account of the '2008 convention', and how many, read the negative stories that were put out by (what I consider) the disgruntled lot - some of who did not even help the organisers but were there to criticise? Was that good guidance and encouragement for the young Goans of Canada? good wishes jc 2009/5/3 Roland Francis <roland.fran...@gmail.com> If you cut down on the time spent on Xapotam and use that to read Goan Voice UK, you will find that Eddiebab Fernandes does a great job of profiling and highlighting the achievements of Goans living in Canada and their contributions to the Goan community in particular and to Canadian society in general. Actually he does a great job not only on Canadian Goans but on Goans everywhere. Wonder why you are missing out on that. Has he omitted profiling high achieving Goans in the Bahamas.
