JC,
The North Goa seat did go to the BJP.

The South seemed likely that it might go to BJP but something similar happens
all the time. My father has this story to tell of back in them days when the
MGP thought they would win in the South. The counting started, and they were
ahead, the celebrations began in earnest. Then ofcourse came the thick of the
thick, the deep of the deep South. Petoi uzok. Not one vote was lost. Congress
was truimphant. This scenario is repeated I suspect every election. The South
is still a Congress bastion. My only problem is, will we now have a bull
fighting ring right next to the Old bus prassa.

best,
selma
