Its nice to see that there are Goans of simple minds on Goanet.
Govt ministers, (MINISTERS ..... get it!!!)
Well! Priests were Ministers and still are (administering to the people)
long before Democracy came into existence and Govt Ministers took over from
the Priests.
People paid 10% to the Priests (ministers) now a days we pay 20% to 30% to
the Govt ministers.
1, Why can't priests have a say in the running of the country if they see
that the country is badly run?
God and Caesar is out of context here (God and Caesar question was put to
Jesus on matter of paying this Tax - if 10% goes to the church why should we
pay Tax to Caesar as well - the answer was simple - that which has Caesar's
head on it (the coins) give it to Caesar, Jesus said.)
2. Where does Shivaji come into this I don't know. Shivaji did not have
Ministers in his Cabinet.
