Venita, The easiest way I know to keep unwanted wildlife away is to spray the perimeter of your dwelling with diesel. Works like a charm. Lighter petroleum products dissipates easily and heavier ones leave a residue. One explanation is that wildlife is wired not to go near oil least they get bogged down.
