Planning to get married in Goa? www.weddingsetcgoa.com Making your 'dream wedding' possible ------------------------------------------------------------------------ HEALING AND DELIVERENCE SESSION IN MELBOURNE BY A GOAN PRIEST (Oscar C. Lobo) A Goan, Rev Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas, Spiritual Director of SRM and Rector of Our Lady's Seminary, Goa visited Melbourne and preached today Sunday the 18 October 2009 about Repentance, Faith and Love followed by a Healing Mass. Fr. Mascarenhas was invited by the Malayalam community and the service was held at the Holy Family Church, Doveton, Melbourne. Kudos to the committee for organizing the evening! There were a few Goans who attended the service although a flyer was sent around to many. People were amazed to hear Fr. Mascarenhas preaching on Light, Life, Hope and Repentance and above all convincing people that it was not late to turn away from evil ways and get rid of things that we are addicted to. He emphasized that our body was a temple and that Holy Spirit rests in every part and organ of our body. His simplicity and faith amazed people and many of those present claimed miracles with thunderous applause from the entire congregation. Most things are wrought by prayer than the world dreams off was clearly evident. Hopefully, in future the Goan Associations in Melbourne who have been here for over 30 years will follow the footsteps of the Malayalam community and invite our other Goan priests. Malayalam community is a good example as they neither suffer from knee jerk reactions nor tall poppy syndrome when they go about with their lives, families and friends. There were a few skeptical people who attended the service however the saying "Fools who came to scoff remained to pray" was so very true with church packed to approximately 6 hours of spiritual service. Thanks to Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas for coming to Melbourne!
