Our present day politicians think they can fool us Goans all the time by making foolhardy statements in expressing their concern for our beloved Goa. One fine day the CM says that we must protect Goa at all costs. How? By looting, plundering, allowing reckless mining and destroying our beautiful villages and forests, by acquiring our poor farmers' fields for creating slums and infrastructure for non Goans, by building 4/6 lane roads in Goa so that poor people's houses and religious structures can be demolished, by building and economically unviable sea link?

Then suddenly the Tourism Minister cries bitterly in public complaining of Goa becoming a rape capital. Is this the best way to showcase our Goa? What about the corruption in his department, highlighted by the GTDC, Employees' Union? What about the Eunuch Beauty Contest to be held in Goa by a Marathi film director? What about the rave parties taking place inside politicians' houses/properties and the religious fanaticism unleashed on Goa by some political groups?

Looks like every Indian has been given the freedom by our Constitution to destroy Goa with the help of our present montris. When will my Goan brethren unite to raise a revolt to put an end to all such undignified events?

Looks like every Indian has been given the freedom by our Constitution to destroy Goa with the help of our present montris ??? No Praxy. Not at all. Can't blame the Indian Constitution. Any Constitution is as good as its executers/rulers. The Blame must be put squarely on Delhi-Nagpur-Maharashtra High Commands. Our montris are the coolies of the High Commands else away from Goa just like the coolies at the railway stations - carrying the baggages. This is best explained in Soter's language when he says 'Buy one - take three' [free I suppose]. But I would like to modify that statement to " Give three - keep one for free". This is exactly what our montris are doing. Give three suitcases to the High Commands and they get to keep one for themselves, free, with one hundred per cent immunity. All said and done, I feel that you have come close to defining PPS, the Goa's need of the hour. Who knows ! you might even be the luckly fella to cash in on it in a BIG way. Just keep coming even closer.

PS: Revolt is possible if Goa's many needs of the hour are MERGED into ONE and taken ahead with the 'guillotine' in sight.
PPS: Goa's Need of the Hour ............... What's Zat???

Communalization of politics has serious consequences
for culture of governance. It is when a party fails to
provide good governance but still wants to gain or
regain power that it plays the communal card.
Communal politics is, thus, a threat both to our
spiritual heritage from the past and our well being
in the present.
