http://twitter.com/goanet --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do try and use the word "shroud" or winding sheet, instead of swaddling (from swathe, Old English swaddling for cloth/e). Imagine now contemplating of Ballok Jesu and swaddling. The word swaddling is very specific to babies and on occasion "to being bandaged." Many of us were swaddled as babies, and we were alive and giggling (not GIVEN UP THE GHOST yet---Koslo gost? Hahahahahaha) and burping and stuff, with our "pengtyan" beads (well our moderns moved on, or so they think) and on our wrists along with the "lil black dot on the cheek(Woooh, to ward off the evil ye), and often on the forehead (a Goyncho DOT HEAD). Shroud is specific to dead bodies. Voi voi, algor mortis rigor mortis---te soglem. Or say winding sheet. Somplo to. Wind down--sandlo to. All this morte stuff reminded me of an awesome Konknni proverb from v>P. Chavan: Modya tondantli laall levonp. (To be stingy. Lit. to lick the saliva oozing out of a corpse's mouth). venantius j pinto
