And they say that 'NELSON' the Great did not know what fear was. That he
could approach a wild 'tiger' like it was a domestic cat.
Possibly, his parent were wise people not to have sent him to CHURCH (my
guess).
Because, the Church is the institution where, to start with, a kid is loaded
with fear and guilt to last a lifetime, making one immediately kneel down
and ask for forgiveness instead of reddening the cheeks of the other when
rightly deserved. That is why I say that a Christian or a Catholic is
stronger in the 'knees' and weak in the 'backbone'.
It is a matter of creating 'goat' instead of 'bulls'
And Selma couldn't be more right.

PS: I am not, however, contesting the existance of 'GOD' which I believe
some ingeneous person created by removing on 'O' from the dictionary word
'GOOD'

Subject: [Goanet] Selma Carvalho: Who the bleep cares about being an
atheist?
But I'm quite dismayed by a child who opts out of Sunday Mass for no
other reason than it's comfortable to sleep in bed every seventh
morning. I would fully understand if someone mature wanted to opt out
of religion; but beliefs and ethics can't be decided on the basis of
convenience. FN

FN, I am shocked you would have such a view.
Making kids go for Sunday Mass? I almost fell off my chair in a fit of
hysterical laughter. Are you seriously saying that those parents who prefer
to
bring up their kids without religion are doing their kids an injustice.
I just don't see why my child should learn something that to me is
irrational.
Why would I want my child to learn that the world was created in 6 days?
I don't know now whether I am shocked or just laughing? :-)
Best,
Selma
