Hello everyone
I wish people would stop thinking in terms of Christian and Hindus and
Muslims - we are first of all GOANS. If we really want to solve Goa's
problems, above all keep religion out of it. Religion has already caused
enough bloodshed over the centuries. Secondly come down to Earth and
place yourself firmly in 2011 - and stop bringing past history into it
as it is a waste of time and excuse for not doing anything. We should
stop blaming the Portuguese and the Indians and everyone else in the
world and assume responsibility for the mess the GOANS made of the
Liberated Goa or Conquered Goa - bottom line is it is a MESS. The state
of the affairs in Goa are the result of Goa being ruled by Goans - let's
face it....
And I wish we would stop pontificating from all corners of the world and
actually draw a concrete plan of action CONCRETE, solid and effective,
based on the various issues that need addressing in Goa immediately
instead of platitudes. Can we talk substance please and limit ourselves
to what we can individually do from abroad. We need to be realistic and
need to know our limitations and capacity, especially if we live abroad.
Happy New Year !
Carmen

Hi Bernado!
You make a valid point/suggestion.
If we in Goa were under oppression as informed to some of our people by
their parents, then, how come Portuguese names were given like Armando,
Mateus, Jose et al, why not Rahul, Prem, Manohar or for that matter
Liberation followed by the surname? Why borrow Portuguese names if we
suffered oppression.
Just thinking loud! – Kitt muntai reh bab?
Mog sodanch assum!
